A Few Things to Know

For day-of coordination, my approach includes two essential planning meetings to ensure everything runs smoothly:
Meeting #1: Scheduled once your vendors are selected, focuses on crafting an initial event timeline.

Meeting #2: Held 10-14 days before your event, allows us to finalize this timeline, ensuring all vendor arrival times are accounted for. This meticulous planning enables me to seamlessly manage your event day, allowing you to enjoy your special day without any interruptions.

Additional Note:
To support any unforeseen needs, I include a flat supplies fee covering my comprehensive "Oh SH!T" kits. These kits, tailored specifically for the venue, wedding party, and bride, equip me to handle any unexpected situations discreetly, ensuring your day proceeds flawlessly. My commitment to solving any issue without causing you stress underscores the dedication to excellence that Whyte Weddings & Events is known for.

Frequently Asked Questions

I only need help with part of my event, can you still help?
Certainly! I understand that every event is unique, and I am more than happy to tailor my services to meet your specific needs. This flexibility ensures that you have control over your budget, and we can work together to create a plan that aligns with your vision for the event.
Do you offer full-service wedding planning?

I want an experienced planner, what's your background?
With a background spanning over 20 years in event planning, I have a wealth of experience. I began my career in higher education planning monthly student activities and campus events, then transitioned to corporate, organizing training and events for a tech startup. I also have experience in planning Homecoming and Alumni gatherings for Alma Maters, and in the last 15 years, I've successfully added weddings to my repertoire. My diverse background ensures that I bring a well-rounded and seasoned perspective to every event I undertake.
ARE YOUR SERVICES AFFORDABLE?
Yes; I believe in transparent and fair pricing. My billing structure is based on an hourly rate rather than a fixed event fee, allowing you to pay for only the time and services you require. This flexibility ensures that you get value for your investment, and we can discuss a budget that aligns with your vision for the event.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
We do! We require a retainer to secure your date, with the balance payable in increments, culminating in full payment 10 days prior to your event.
Is the retainer refundable?
The retainer is non-refundable, ensuring your event's exclusive reservation. As we commit to only one event per weekend, this down payment secures our dedicated focus on your special day.
Do you travel?
Absolutely! My passport is always at the ready. I've orchestrated weddings across 6 states and am excited to explore new destinations.
Do you have travel fees?
To cover travel expenses, we include reasonable fees. These vary based on location and may include costs for flights or lodging. For local events, fees are based on travel time.
What does your average wedding month-of coordination involve?
Our month-of coordination includes planning meetings, timeline creation, vendor liaisons, venue walkthroughs, rehearsal management, and a 12-14 hour commitment on your wedding day to ensure perfection.
What is the average cost for wedding month-of coordination?
For local weddings, contracts usually range between $2200-$4500.
Do you offer Day-Of Coordination?
Indeed, though we refer to it as Month-of Coordination, reflecting the extensive preparation involved in ensuring your event's success.
What guidelines should I follow for serving alcohol at my event?
When planning to serve alcohol at your event, it's crucial to consult your venue contract for specific requirements, including the necessity of a licensed bartender. Some venues mandate that alcohol can only be provided by a licensed bartender, who may also need to be the one serving it. Additionally, review your venue's policy on glassware to ensure compliance; you may need to opt for clear plastic containers for serving drinks to meet these guidelines. Always ensure your plans align with your contracts to avoid any issues.
